The Christian Worldview
We ALL have believes about life. Where we come from, why are we here, what is wrong with the world, how do we fix it and where are we headed. Some people call this our worldview (or the lens by which we see the world). At Two Bridges we believe in the Christian worldview which is primarily influenced by the teachings of Jesus and the rest of the Bible.
Believing these teachings is not a requirement to participate in our gatherings or belong to our community but we do proclaim these things at our gatherings as a way to challenge, encourage and grow with one another.

Who is God?
There is one eternally existing God who is three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and the reason behind all life. Therefore he is worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Does God speak to us?
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, the only person who is fully God and fully human who lived without sin. God also speaks through the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Where do we come from?
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. They were made to be in perfect relationship with God and each other. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creation. All people are made in God's image and were made to know Him.
What's wrong with the world?
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they broke the relationship they had with God and each other. This brokenness spread to all of God's creation. We see the effects of this brokenness take many forms both in our world (sickness, death, suffering, natural disaster, strife between humans etc) and in our inability to have a loving relationship with God.
What is the solution?
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God and each other. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty of death that we deserve. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
Where are we headed?
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth. We are living in a time between Christ's first coming and his second coming. God has chosen the Church, people who have come to faith in Jesus, to be the primary way he is ushering in his final kingdom. The church is meant to be a sign, a foretaste and an instrument of God's kingdom. We participate with God in the renewal and reconciliation of ALL things, we proclaim our faith to others and we work in the world to bring restoration instead of destruction, reconciliation instead of division and life instead of death.
